The specimen shown is from a type struck in Rome for Italy since 2008. Italy is one of the founders of the euro and began issuing coins in that system in 2002. In 2008, the obverse was modified to show a redesigned map of Europe. All dates are common. The reverse shows the head of Botticelli's Venus, an art treasure on display at the Uffizi in Florence.

Recorded mintage: unknown but common.

Specification: 4.07 g, brass, 19.75 mm diameter, reeded edge, designed by Claudia Momoni.

Catalog reference: KM 247.
