The specimen shown is from a type struck at the King's Norton mint for Guatemala 1954-58. The bust of Bartolome de las Casas still appears on Guatemalan one centavos altho the denomination is now issued in aluminum.

Recorded mintage: 10,000,000.

Specification: 2.94 g, nickel-brass, 21 mm diameter.
