The specimen shown is from a type struck for Guatemala 1949-54. The bust of Bartolome de las Casas still appears on Guatamalan one centavos altho the denomination is now issued in aluminum.

Recorded mintage: 1,091,000.

Specification: brass, 22 mm diameter.
