This specimen was lot 846 in Stephen Album sale 30 (Santa Rosa, CA, January 2018), where it sold for $176.25. The catalog description[1] noted, "IRAN: Ahmad Shah, 1909-1925, AV 5000 dinars, AH1343/33, PCGS graded AU." This type is listed for AH 1331-1343 (1912-24) with several dates valued at barely above bullion. This denomination was also minted in silver (KM 1058).
Recorded mintage: unknown but fairly common.
Specification: 1.44 g, .900 fine gold, 17 mm diameter.
