Sincona sale 46, lot 729

This specimen was lot 729 in Sincona sale 46 (Zürich, May 2018), where it did not sell. The catalog description[1] noted,

"Malta, Emanuel de Rohan, 1775-1797. 10 Scudi 1778, Valetta. Fast vorzüglich. Leicht justiert. (Order of Malta, Emanuel de Rohan, 1775-97, ten scudi of 1778, Valetta mint. About extremely fine, Minor adjustment marks.)"

This type was struck 1778 and 1782 only and is rare. Another ten scudi (KM-309) was also issued for 1778; it has the date on the obverse.

Recorded mintage: unknown.

Specification: 8 g, .840 fine gold, this specimen 8.19 g.
