In 1920, the town of Wattenscheid in Westphalia issued a set of five, ten, twenty-five and fifty pfennig notgeld featuring the local coal mines and miners. In 1975, the town was merged with Bochum.

Recorded mintage: unknown but common.

Specification: aluminum, octagonal, 20.8 mm diameter.
