The catalog description[1] noted, <blockquote>"''FRANCE, Napoléon Ier (1804-1814), AR 2 francs, 1807 W, Lille. Rare. Patine inégale au droit. Très Beau.'' (empire of [[France]], Napoleon I, 1804-14, silver two francs of 1807, Lille mint. Rare, uneven toning on the obverse, Very Fine.)"</blockquote> The type was struck at Lille years 13-14 and 1806-07. The Paris mint adopted a curly haired bust of Napoleon in 1807 which was contemptuously rejected by the Emperor and replaced by the laureate head, which the Lille mint did not adopt until 1808.
