This specimen is the last and most common date of a series struck 1917-20 during the Third Republic of [[France]]. It superseded a bronze five centimes struck 1898-1917 and 1920-21. Also in 1920 were struck a small number of the small module five centimes (KM 875, 17 mm diameter). Specification: 3 g, copper-nickel, 19 mm diameter, plain edge, designed by E. E. Lindauer (1869-1942).
