Heritage sale 3064, lot 33009
GB H3064-33009r.jpg

This specimen was lot 33009 in Heritage sale 3064 (Chicago, April 2018), where it sold for $480. The catalog description[1] noted, "Charles II Specimen Farthing 1676 SP55 PCGS. Subdued but fully original surfaces with scattered pewter toning streaks. A pattern issue which is scarce in all grades and highly desirable as such." No farthings were minted for circulation in 1676. This pattern varies from the regular issue by, among other things, having the date on the obverse.

Recorded mintage: unknown.

Specification: copper.

Catalog reference: KM P-492.
