Ponterio sale 168, lot 50298

This specimen was lot 50298 in Ponterio sale 168 (Philadelphia, August 2012), where it sold for $317.25. The catalog description[1] noted, "YUGOSLAVIA. Ducat, 1931. NGC MS-63. Countermark sword with birds at sides." The SCWC notes that several varieties of countermarks were applied by the government. Uncountermarked specimens are denounced as counterfeits.

Recorded mintage: est. 50,000.

Specification: 3.49 g, .986 fine gold, .110 troy oz AGW.
