This type was struck 1872-84 as part of Bolivia's second decimal coinage. The obverse was modified to show nine stars instead of the previous eleven and the reverse was modified from "LA UNION HACE LA FUERZA" to "LA UNION ES LA FUERZA". Many varieties and overdates exist.
Recorded Mintage: unknown but a common date.
Specification: 1.15 g, 0.900 fine silver.
