This specimen was lot 3410 in Sincona Auction 101 (Zürich, October 2025), where it sold for 525 CHF (about US$791 including buyers' fees). The catalog description[1] noted,
"RDR / ÖSTERREICH Franz Joseph I. 1848-1916. Dukat 1903, Wien. NGC MS63."
Gold ducats were struck throughout Franz Josef's long reign and come in many types. This design was struck 1872-1915 without mintmark and is common. The 1915 has been restruck and is readily available for its bullion value.
Recorded mintage: 380,014.
Specification: 3.49 g, 0.986 fine gold, 19.8 mm diameter.
Catalog reference: KM 2267, Herinek 172, Fr-493.
