1937-M Ten Centavos

This specimen is the first date of the type struck for the new commonwealth of the Philippines. Large size ten centavos were struck 1903-06 (KM 165) and reduced size ten centavos (KM 169) were struck 1907-35. With the inauguration of the commonwealth in 1936, the reverse was redesigned and the new type was issued 1937-41 and 1944-45. The Manila mint was responsible for production during 1920-41. This date is not the highest mintage but has a low catalog price.

Recorded Mintage: 3,500,000.

Specifications: 2.00 g, 0.750 fine silver, reeded edge.

Catalog Reference: KM 181.
