This specimen was lot 2430 in Sincona sale 11 (Zürich, May 2013), where it sold for 28,000 CHF (about US$34,665 including buyer's fees). The catalog description[1] noted,
"RDR/ÖSTERREICH Olmütz, Bistum Karl II. von Liechtenstein-Castelcorno, 1664-1695. 5 Dukaten 1678, Kremsier. CAROL,D:G-EPVS-OLOMVCENSIS-DVX -S-R-I-PRINCEPS Büste im geistlichen Gewand mit breitem Kragen nach rechts. Rv. REG-CAPELLAE-BOHE-ET - DE-LIECHTENSTAIN-CO: 16 78 Vierfeldiges Stiftswappen mit Familienwappen als Mittelschild. Oben Krummstab, Inful, Fürstenhut und Schwert. Unten Zinken. Dicker Schrötling. Vorzüglich. Ex Auktion UBS 66, September 2006, Lot 1523. (bishopric of Olmutz, Charles II of Liechtenstein-Castelcorno, 1664-95, five ducats of 1678, Kremsier mint. Obverse: bust right in clerical vestments and collar; reverse: Fourfold arms of Oben Krummstab, Inful, Fürstenhut and Schwert. Extremely fine, from UBS auction 66, lot 1523 (September 2006).)"
This one-year type is among the rare issues from this ecclesiastical state in Moravia, then part of Austria, now the Czech Republic. Later thalers from the 1720's are listed quite inexpensively.
