This specimen was lot 1200 in Jean Elsen sale 161 (Brussels, March 2025), where it sold for €130 (about US$169 including buyer's fees). The catalog description[1] noted,
"FRANCE, Royaume, Henri III (1574-1589), AR franc au col plat, 1578 T, Nantes. D/ B. l. et cuir. à d. R/ Croix feuillue et fleurdelisée, H en coeur. Tréflé. (kingdom of France, Henry III, 1574-89, silver franc of the flat collar of 1578, nantes mint. Obverse: laureate and armored bust right; reverse: leafy and floriate cross. Edge defects, Very Fine.)"
This franc d'argent had a face value of 20 sols tournois and was struck 1575-86. The subtype with the flat collar (shown here) is Dupl-1130: the one with the ruffed collar is Dupl-1130A. Heavy clipping prompted the regime to suspend production in 1586.
