"SCHWEIZ Bern, Stadt und Kanton, Dicken 1540, Bern. Selten. Fast sehr schön. Exemplar der Auktion SINCONA 6, Zürich, Mai 2012, Los 2988. (Switzerland, canton of Bern, dicken of 1540, Bern mint. Rare, About Very Fine.)"
This type was struck 1539-41. The reverse legend, "✥ BERCHT ⁕ DVX ZERING ⁕ FVNDAT", likely refers to Berthold V, last duke of Zähringen (r. 1186-1218).
