This specimen was lot 1135 in Künker sale 263 (Osnabrück, June 2015), where it sold for €650 (about US$840 including buyer's fees). The catalog description[1] noted,
"REUSS-OBERGREIZ, GRAFSCHAFT, SEIT 1778 FÜRSTENTUM Heinrich XI. 1723-1800. Konv.-Taler 1769, Saalfeld. Attraktives Exemplar mit herrlicher Patina, fast vorzüglich. (Germany, county of Reuss-Obergreiz, Henry XI, 1723-1800, convention thaler of 1769, Saalfeld mint. Attractive exampel with nice toning, choice extremely fine.)"
Despite the tiny mintage, this type is considered only scarce. It is one of four thalers from this locale for the eighteenth century.
Recorded mintage: 2,075.
Specification: 28.06 g, 0.833 fine silver.
Catalog reference: Dav-2634; Schmidt/Knab 246, KM 67.
