This specimen was lot 2283 in Stephen Album sale 50 (Santa Rosa, CA, September 2024), where it sold for $204. The catalog description[1] noted, "AFSHARID: Nadir Shah, 1735-1747, AR 6 shahi, Tiflis, AH1150, type C. both sides within thin circular border, XF. Tiflis is the old name for Tbilisi, the capital of Georgia." This type was struck 1150-1152. Six shahi made 300 dinars or three abbasi. Other mints included Isfahan and Tabriz.
