This specimen was lot 23688 in Heritage sale 3026 (Long Beach, October 2013), where it sold for $822.50. The catalog description[2] noted, "Karl VI 2 Taler ND (1719), AU55 NGC, jumbo holder, well-struck details with medium gray patina, natural flan flaw on the reverse rim." The single thaler (Dav-1053) was struck 1719-34, along with similar types from Vienna, Breslau and Graz. This double thaler was struck 1719 only with (Dav-1052) and without date (shown here).

Specification: 57.64 g, 0.875 fine silver.
