This specimen was lot 3548 in Sincona sale 51 (Zürich, October 2018), where it sold for 1,200 CHF (about US$1,448 including buyer's fees). The catalog description[1] noted,
"Greichenreich, Georg I. 1863-1913. Drachme 1883, Paris. NGC MS61. Überdurchschnittliche Erhaltung. (kingdom of Greece, George I, 1863-1913, drachma of 1883, Paris mint. Extraordinary condition.)"
This drachma was struck for Greece at the Paris mint 1868, 1873-74 and 1883. It is one of the few Greek silver coins of the nineteenth century which is somewhat available.
Recorded mintage: 800,000.
Specification: 5 g, 0.835 fine silver.
