Künker sale 294, lot 3474

This specimen was lot 3474 in Künker sale 294 (Osnabrück, Germany, July 2017), where it sold for €3,600 (about US$4,852 including buyer's fees). The catalog description[1] noted,

"DIE GEISTLICHKEIT IN DEN HABSBURGISCHEN ERBLANDEN, Leopold Anton Eleutherius von Firmian, 1727-1744. Dukat 1739. GOLD. RR Attraktives Exemplar, vorzüglich/vorzüglich-Stempelglanz. (Austrian church states, archbishopric of Salzburg, Leopold Anton Eleutherius von Firmian, 1727-1744, ducat of 1739. Rare, very attractive example, extremely fine to uncirculated.)"

This type was struck 1728 and 1738-44. Later types are very common but this one is scarce.
