This type was struck for Norway by the Swedish authorities 1906-07 and is the last of the denomination struck prior to independence.

This specimen was lot 71837 in Stack's Bowers Collector's Choice sale (Costa Mesa, CA, October 2021), where it sold for $65. The catalog description[1] noted, "NORWAY. 2 Ore, 1906. Kongsberg Mint. Haakon VII. NGC MS-61 Brown. This attractive and original looking SCARCE date exhibits a bold strike rich patina." This type was struck for Norway, right after Norway obtained her independence from Sweden.

Recorded mintage: 500,000.

Specification: 4 g, bronze, 21 mm diameter.
