This specimen was lot 73545 in Stack's Bowers Collector's Choice sale (Santa Ana, CA, June 2020), where it sold for $156. The catalog description[1] noted, "STRAITS SETTLEMENTS. 20 Cents, 1935. NGC MS-63. Round-top 3 variety. Exceptionally lustrous and vibrant, this enticingly choice specimen features a delightful golden tone at the limits of the peripheries." This is the final issue of this denomination. It was superseded in 1939 by a twenty cents issued for Malaya (KM 5).
Recorded mintage: 1,000,000 plus proofs.
Specification: 5.43 g, 0.600 fine silver, 23 mm diameter.
