This specimen was lot 422 in Stephen Album sale 39 (Santa Rosa, CA, January 2021), where it sold for $1,560. The catalog description[1] noted, "TURKEY: Mustafa II, 1695-1703, AV sultani, Ordu-yu Humayun, AH1106, VF, RR, ex Ahmed Sultan Collection. Ordu-yu Hümayun means "Imperial Army", a mint that was attached to the army while on command at any location. Although the coins could have been struck wherever the armed forces were located, the dies were probably produced at Istanbul." This type is shown in the SCWC as a "tek". Similar coins were struck at Constantinople, Edirne and Izmir.
Recorded mintage: unknown.
Specification: gold, this specimen 3.43 g.
