This specimen was lot 3167 in Sincona sale 77 (Zürich, May 2022), where it sold for 1,600 CHF (about US$1,942 including buyer's fees). The catalog description[1] noted,
"CZECHOSLOVAKIA. Republik. Dukat 1924, Kremnitz. St. Wenzel. Nur 32'814 Exemplare geprägt. Vorzüglich-FDC. (republic of Czechoslovakia, ducat of 1924, Kremnitz mint, St. Wenceslas. Only 32,814 pieces struck. Extremely fine-uncirculated.)"
This type was struck 1923-39 and 1951 along with a 2 dukaty and 5 dukatu and 10 dukatu. This type is rarely seen circulated, suggesting the hoarding of what few examples escaped government vaults. The obverse portrait is of "good" king Wenceslas, he of the well-known Christmas carol.
Recorded mintage: 32,814, common for the type.
