This specimen was lot 4216 in Sincona sale 95 (Zürich, October 2024), where it sold for 150 CHF (about US$208 including buyer's fees). The catalog description[1] noted,
"SCHWEIZ Genf/Genève, Stadt und Kanton, 3 Sols 1566, Genf. Mzz. G. Gutes sehr schön. (Switzerland, canton of Geneva, three sols of 1566, Geneva mint, mintmark G. Good Very Fine.)"
This type was struck nearly continuously 1554-94. Numista does not mention the mintmark clearly visible here. One thaler was 96 sols.
Record mintage: unknown.
Specification: 4.0 g, billon, 26 mm diameter, this specimen 3.50 g.
