This specimen was lot 10348 in Stack's Bowers Collectors Choice Online Auction (Costa Mesa, CA, February 2025), where it sold for €840 (about US$876). The catalog description[1] noted, "DENMARK. 24 Skilling, 1737-CW. Copenhagen Mint. Christian VI. NGC AU-53. A good example of this very rare date. From the L. E. Bruun Collection. Ex: Countship of Brahesminde Collection (Private Sale-1922)." This denomination was revived in 1731 and struck fairly regularly until 1783. It was worth one-third krone or one quarter speciedaler. This type was struck at Copenhagen 1732-37 and 1740-43, all with initials "CW" although without the heart mintmark.
