This specimen was lot 30209 in Heritage sale 3089 (Dallas, TX, January 2021), where it sold for $3,960. The catalog description[1] noted, "Sweden. Gustav Vasa Mark 1559 MS63 PCGS, Stockholm mint. Gleaming and choice, and of a rarely seen quality for this 16th-century denomination, which proves quite elusive in better states of preservation, much more so in Mint State. Lustrous and lightly toned, with primarily hairline friction to the reverse accounting for the assigned grade. Interestingly, this type was missing from Künker's sale of the Hagander Collection. From the Cape Coral Collection of European Crowns." Gustav is considered the founder of modern Sweden. One mark was eight öre.
