This specimen was lot 31022 in Heritage sale 3076 (Long Beach, CA, September 2019), where it sold for $20,400. The catalog description[1] noted, "Austria. Olmutz. Karl III Josef gold Ducat 1701 UNC Details (Bent) NGC. A rare issue with a strong and vibrant luster and a lemon-gold color. This is the first example we have handled, with no others having appeared at auction in the past couple of decades. From the Allen Moretti Swiss Collection." Altho the thalers from this state are reasonably available, ducats are rare. This one is also known undated.

Recorded mintage: unknown but rare.

Specification: 3.5 g, 0.986 fine gold.
