This specimen was lot 3239 in Sincona sale 80 (Zurich, October 2022), where it sold for 100 CHF (about US$120 including buyer's fees). The catalog description<sup>[1]</sup> noted, "[[Sweden|SWEDEN]], Oscar II. 1872-1907. 50 Öre 1899, Stockholm. NGC MS62." This type was minted 1875-83 and 1898-99. The later dates are fairly common but the early dates are scarce. Altho the weight matches that of the French franc, the fineness and diameter are different and it is unlikely they exchanged.
