This specimen was lot 2051 in Sincona sale 90 (Zürich, May 2024), where it sold for 3,800 CHF (about US$5,021 including buyer's fees). The catalog description[1] noted,
"TSCHECHOSLOWAKEI Republik, 1918-1939. 5 Korun 1937, Kremnitz. Stempel von O. Guttfreund. Sehr seltener Jahrgang. NGC MS61. (republic of Czechoslovakia, 1918-39, five korun of 1937, Kremnitz mint, dies by O. Guttfreund. Very rare date, graded NGC MS-61.)"
This is a rare date of a two year type, the other being 1938. In 1938, England, France and Italy sold Czechoslovakia's Sudetenland to Hitler in exchange for another year of peace in Europe.
