This specimen was lot 3115 in Sincona sale 91 (Zürich, May 2024), where it sold for 425 CHF (about US$570 including buyer's fees). The catalog description[1] noted,
"SCHWEIZ Bern, Stadt und Kanton, Vierer 1550, Bern. Sehr selten. Schön. (Switzerland, canton of Bern, vierer of 1550, Bern mint. Very rare, Fine.)"
This type was struck 1547-50, 1554-56, 1559 and undated. The reverse legend, "✠ BERCTOL · D · ZERINGE :", likely refers to Berthold V, last duke of Zähringen (r. 1186-1218).
