This specimen was lot 3305 in Steve Album Auction 51 (Santa Rosa, CA, January 2025), where it sold for $78. The catalog description[1] noted, "SERBIA: German Occupation, 1941-1944, 1 dinar, 1943, a wonderful example, PCGS graded MS64." The kingdom of Serbia ceased to exist after World War One when it was incorporated into the kingdom of Yugoslavia. Yugoslavia collapsed when invaded by the Germans in 1941 and her territory partitioned amongst her neighbors. Portions were erected into the puppet states of Croatia and Serbia. This type was struck in 1942 (not 1943) at the Budapest mint for Serbia.
Recorded mintage: 50,000,000 at Budapest.
