This specimen was lot 2469 in Stephen Album sale 50 (Santa Rosa, CA, September 2024), where it sold for $132. The catalog description[1] noted, "MUGHAL: Humayun, 1530-1556, AR shahrukhi, Agra, AH(94)4, about 20% flat strike, as is normal for this type, XF." The shahrukhi was originally a silver coin minted by Shah Rukh of the Timurid Empire (r. 1405-47) and was adopted by the early Mughal Emperors (Babur, Humayan and Akbar). It was eventually superseded by the rupee.
