This specimen was lot 75443 in Stack's Bowers Collector's Choice sale (Costa Mesa, CA, February 2022), where it sold for $960. The catalog description[1] noted, "SWEDEN. Ore, 1758-HM. Stockholm Mint. Adolf Friedrich. NGC MS-62. Though composed of over 80% base metal, the flan still appears silver. Brilliant, wispy charcoal fields contrast gunmetal devices. A rarely offered silver Ore that series specialists seldom have the opportunity to acquire, especially when preserved in gorgeous Mint State." This type was struck 1753-58 and 1761, of which the 1761 is the most common date. Copper öre were also struck at this time.
Recorded mintage: 75,585.
Specification: 1.19 g, 0.194 fine silver.
Catalog reference: KM-472.
