This specimen was lot 1482 in Stephen Album sale 30 (Santa Rosa, CA, January 2018), where it sold for $381.88. The catalog description[1] noted, "SWEDEN: Oscar II, 1872-1907, AV 20 kronor, 1884, initials EB, prooflike obverse, Choice Unc, Ex Dr. John Lund Collection." This type was struck in limited numbers 1877-99 but the release of the hoard of the Bank of Sweden in the late nineties made this type common in all grades.
Recorded mintage: 191,000.
Specification: 8.96 g, 0.900 fine gold, 0.259 troy oz AGW, 23 mm diameter.
Catalog reference: Fr-93a; KM-748, SM12.
