The first specimen was lot 2361 in Goldberg sale 106 (Los Angeles, September 2018), where it sold for $120. The catalog description[1] noted, "Peru. ½ Real, 1856-MB (Lima). Standing Liberty. Brilliant mint luster. PCGS graded MS-64." This type was struck at Lima 1840-56 and at Cuzco 1827-35; the complete span of Peru standing liberty half reales runs 1826-56.
