Sincona sale 88, lot 93

This specimen was lot 93 in Sincona sale 88 (Zurich, May 2024), where it sold for 500 CHF (about US$661 including buyer's fees). The catalog description^[1] noted,

"IRAN, Afsharid Dynasty, Ebrahim, as formal ruler, 1161-1162 AH (1748-1749). Rupi 1162 AH (1749), Kerman Mint. Selten, Sehr schön, Kleiner Bohrversuch; Rare. Very fine. Small drilling (Indian testmark)."

Ebrahim was the brother of Adel Shah, the immediate successor of the assassinated Nader Shah. The SCWC mentions no rupis for this ruler.
