Sincona sale 90, lot 2091

This specimen was lot 2091 in Sincona sale 90 (Zurich, May 2024), where it sold for 6,500 CHF (about US$8,589 including buyer's fees). The catalog description[1] noted,

"UNGARN, Ferdinand I. 1526-1564. Dukat 1535 KB, Kremnitz. Vorzüglich-FDC. (kingdom of Hungary, Ferdinand I, 1526-64, ducat of 1535, Kremint mint. Extremely fine-uncirculated.)"

Friedberg lists this type for 1527-65 from Kremnitz (shown here), Neustadt (Fr-49) and Hermannstadt (Fr-50).

Recorded mintage: unknown.

Specification: 3.49 g, 0.986 fine gold, this specimen 3.57 g.
