This specimen was lot 17797 in Heritage auction 354 (the Horwedel sale, Long Beach, CA, September 2004), where it sold for $805. The catalog description[1] noted, "Long Beach, CA - $5 1902 Plain Back Fr. 600 The Exchange NB Ch. # (P)8510. The first title used by this very scarce Long Beach bank, whose last offering came back in the Colver sale of May, 1999. About Fine, with a touch of soiling on the back. Ex-Lyn Knight's CPMX sale, February, 1997, lot 597."

This specimen was lot 18705 in Heritage sale 386 (Long Beach, September 2005), where it sold for $1,437.50. The catalog description noted, "Long Beach, CA - $10 1902 Plain Back Fr. 626 The Exchange NB Ch. # (P)8510. The first title used by this very scarce Long Beach bank. This piece, from the High Desert collection, is one of the nicest known from here and is certain to see considerable interest from this community's many collectors. Bright Fine-Very Fine."
The Long Beach National Bank
This specimen was lot 17799 in Heritage auction 354 (the Horwedel sale, Long Beach, CA, September 2004), where it sold for $1,840. The catalog description[1] noted, "Long Beach, CA - $20 1902 Plain Back Fr. 652 The Long Beach NB Ch. # (P)8510, A rare note bearing the second title employed here which was in use for only two and a half years before the bank closed in 1924. Only three examples with this nomenclature are reported to date, with this the finest of the trio. Fine."
