During the brief existence of the first republic of Czechoslovakia (1918-39), the Kremnica mint managed to produce some handsome coins, including this type issued 1928-32. This specimen was lot 70430 in Stack's Bowers Collector's Choice sale (Santa Ana, CA, May 2018), where it sold for $45. The catalog description[1] noted, "CZECHOSLOVAKIA. 5 Korun, 1932. NGC MS-63. ...From Czechoslovakia's brief fling with silver coinage. Light toning."
Recorded mintage: 1,000,000.
Specification: 7 g, 0.500 fine silver, .125 troy oz ASW, 27 mm diameter, reeded edge, designed by Ota Gutfreud.
