This specimen was lot 1775 in Sincona sale 22 (Zurich, May 2015), where it sold for 350 CHF (about US$440 including buyer's fees). The catalog description[1] noted,
"Hoorn, Grafschaft, Philipp von Montmorency, 1540-1568 Taler o. J. Fast sehr schön-sehr schön. (County of Hoorn, Philip of Montmorency (1540-68), undated thaler. Very fine.)"
Davenport notes that Philip, the last count of Hoorn, was executed by the Spanish in 1568 for treason and his county annexed to the bishopric of Liège. Three daalders are known from this locale, all undated.
