Jean Elsen sale 143, lot 1198

This specimen was lot 1198 in Jean Elsen sale 143 (Brussels, December 2019), where it sold for €120 (about US$157 including buyer's fees). The catalog description[1] noted,

"LIEGE, Principauté, Erard de la Marck (1506-1538), billon demi-patard, 1512, Liège. D/ Ecu de la Marck. R/ Croix fourchue. Rare Belle patine. Beau à Très Beau. (prince-bishopric of Liege, Erard of the Mark, 1506-38, billon half patard of 1512, Liege mint. Obverse: arms; reverse: cross. Rare, nice patina, Fine - Very Fine.)"
