Italy SB1019-72404r.jpg

This specimen was lot 72404 in Stack's Bowers Collector's Choice sale (Santa Ana, CA, October 2019), where it sold for $100. The catalog description[1] noted, "ITALY. Lira, 1916-R. Rome Mint. Recorded mintage: 1,835,000, the scarcest date.

Specification: 5 g, 0.835 fine silver, 23 mm diameter.

Catalog reference: KM-57; Mont-201.
