This specimen was lot 50134 in Ponterio sale 168 (Philadelphia, August 2012), where it sold for $394. The catalog description[1] noted, "GERMANY. Wurttemberg. 20 Mark, 1897-F. NGC AU Details--Surface Hairlines." This type is common and is a product of the Stuttgart mint (mintmark "F").

Recorded mintage: 400,000 plus a few proofs.

Specification: 7.96 g, 0.900 fine gold, .230 troy oz AGW.
