This specimen was lot 34272 in Heritage sale 3098 (New York, January 2022), where it sold for $1,260. The catalog description[1] noted, "Poland: Nicholas I of Russia 5 Zlotych (3/4 Rouble) 1836-MW AU55 PCGS, Warsaw mint. An impressive conditional rarity for this type most often found in VF condition or worse, mild surface chatter and light highpoint contact likely being among the few factors that preclude a finer grade. Cartwheel effects are easily visible over the obverse, while the luster on the reverse washes evenly over the surfaces." This issue was struck 1833-41 while Poland was under Russian rule (1815-1918). Five zlotych equaled three-quarters of a ruble. Russian coinage for Poland ended in 1841.
