This specimen was lot 3477 in Künker sale 264 (Osnabrück, June 2015), where it sold for €900 (about US$1,163 including buyer's fees). The catalog description[1] noted,
"Josef II. 1765-1790. 2 Dukaten 1782, E, Karlsburg. GOLD. Attraktives, fast vorzügliches Exemplar. (Austria, Joseph II, 1765-90, double ducat of 1782, Karlsburg mint. Attractive, choice extremely fine.)"
Like most double ducats, this type listed for 1781-82, is scarce. Altho Friedberg lists this under Hungary, we have followed the SCWC and filed it under Austria.
