This specimen was lot 27669 in Heritage sale 3022 (New York, January 2013), where it was bought back for $2,467.50. The catalog description[1] noted, "George II Crown 1750, Old laureate Head, V. Qvarto edge, uncertified, Choice XF, deeply patinated to an even dark gray, fully original with nearly mark-free surfaces to the naked eye. A nice historical coin." This type was struck 1746, 1750 and 1751 and is rare. It was the last British crown struck until 1817.

Recorded mintage: unknown.

Specification: 30.1 g, .917 fine silver.
