This specimen was lot 1975 in SINCONA sale 1 (Zürich, June 2011), where it sold for 36,000 CHF (about US$50,118 including buyer's fee). The catalog description<sup>[1]</sup> noted, <blockquote>"''SCHWEIZ Zug Taler 1565, sog. Engeltaler. Zwei Engel mit dem Zugerwappen halten einen Reichsapfel. Rv. Gekrönter und nimbierter Doppeladler. Sehr selten, besonders in dieser Qualität. Gutes vorzüglich.'' ([[Switzerland]], [[Switzerland, Zug|Zug]], thaler of 1565, called the "angel thaler." Obverse: two angles support the city arms and the orb of the empire; reverse: crowned imperial eagle. Very rare, especially in this quality, good very fine.)"</blockquote> Davenport notes five major varieties for this date.
