This specimen was lot 1236 in Stephen Album sale 32 (Santa Rosa, CA, September 2018), where it sold for $176.25. The catalog description<sup>[1]</sup> noted, "WESTPHALIA: AR 1/6 thaler, 1809-B, struck in Brunswick, PCGS graded MS64, ex Don Erickson Collection." This state issued three different styles of this denomination during its brief existence: KM 88 (arms obverse) struck 1808-13; KM 86 (numeric reverse, 3.16 g, .994 fine silver) struck 1809-12; and KM 87 (monogram obverse, 5.85 g, 0.500 fine silver) struck 1808-13. This is the most common type.
